This site is designed to be the Society's 'virtual museum', and a showcase of the varied and long history of Kings Langley. Working alongside the Society's own publications list, including "Kings Langley: A Hertfordshire Village" (Kings Langley Local History and Museum Society, 1991) and its series of six lectures each year on themes of local interest, the site is designed to show the major areas of interest in the village, and highlight its key historical events.

The Society eventually hopes to establish a bricks and mortar museum in Kings Langley to house and display its growing collection of important local artefacts.

In addition to "Kings Langley: A Hertfordshire Village" other publications of the Society include:

"Life and Death in Kings Langley" - wills from 1498 - 1659 "Palace Priory and Mills" - a brief history
"Kings Langley Heritage Trail"
"Postcards of Old Kings Langley"

The Society currently has 180 active members, and is a growing, respected part of the local community. Click the link to see our forthcoming events diary

If you would like further information on The Society, or would like to become a member, please use our membership request form, or send us an email.

The Society is linked into the Dacorum Heritage Trust Ltd (DHT) the district's registered museum authority, who store many of our artefacts under controlled conditions. To contact the DHT click here
